Here you will find information that may be useful to know about accessibility in Skrylle and at Skryllegården.
Parking spaces
There are a few smaller parking spaces along the road between Dalby and Södra Sandby. These are signposted ”Nature Reserve P”. There is a large parking space at Skryllegården and there are disabled spaces at the eastern end of the restaurant building and at the visitor centre. Buses can drive right up to the Skryllegården buildings to drop people off, but parking must be done in the parking spaces furthest from the buildings.
Barbecue areas
Barbecue area Wege, number 11, located along the adapted 1.2 km trail, has a barbecue and space for 4-5 wheelchairs. There are two smaller benches along the walls. Wege is located a short distance from the toilets.
The other barbecue areas in the area do not have hard surfaces, but some of the areas still have relatively good accessibility, for example number 2 which has a raised barbecue. The surface is grass or soil and is usually hard and firm. There is no wind and rain protection. The area is close to toilets and parking.
Toilets
There are toilets at Skryllegården. Two of these are handicapped accessible but none have bunks. One is located by the service building on the east end of the restaurant. The other is located by the shower and changing room, the key to this can be obtained at reception. There is a slightly sloping ramp to the toilet which also has a shower.
There are also dry toilets at Prästaskogens Nature Reserve and at Dalby Söderskog. These lack access to water and are not heated. It is possible to get in with a wheelchair but they do not meet the requirements for disabled access. Otherwise, there are smaller toilets at the parking lot for Måryds Nature Reserve and at the nature play area.
Naturum Skrylle
The nature reserve is accessible to people in wheelchairs and has an indoor disabled toilet (not with a bunk bed). Please contact naturum@lund.se if you would like to know more about accessibility.
The restaurant
The restaurant is wheelchair accessible via the patio entrance. A disabled toilet is available via the main entrance.
Exercise track
There are five prepared exercise trails, four of which are floodlit (1.2 km, 2.2 km, 3 km and 5 km).
The 1.2 km exercise trail (also called the easy trail) is adapted for people with reduced mobility and also for wheelchairs. The surface consists of packed fine gravel. Assistance may be needed on some slopes. Along the path there are a number of benches with armrests placed at intervals of about 100 meters. Along the trail there is the Wege wind shelter for 4-5 wheelchairs, a sound installation with some of the forest animals and a motor track for wheelchairs. The motor track is an exciting challenge also for pedestrians with reduced mobility.
Otherwise, the 3 km track is also easy to navigate. The surface consists of fine gravel and is passable as long as heavy rain has not washed away the gravel. There are a few hills where assistance may be needed. Benches are located approximately 1 km apart.
The 5 km track is also accessible by electric scooter and in the summer the larger forest roads are also normally passable. There is sometimes transport with construction machinery in the area which can affect the passability of the forest roads.
Rögle ponds
At Rögle dammar there is a fishing pier adapted for people in wheelchairs and the toilet at the dams is adapted for the disabled. People with reduced mobility can park directly next to the fishing pier and toilet.
