Skrylle Nature Reserve
The Skrylle Nature Reserve is 568 hectares in size and is owned by the Municipality of Lund and the Skånska Landskap Foundation. It was purchased to create an outdoor recreation area but also to benefit the plants and animals in the area. The Municipality of Lund is the nature conservation manager, meaning it is assigned by the County Administrative Board to manage the area.
When establishing a nature reserve, special rules can be decided on for visitors' use of the area.
As a visitor to Skrylle Nature Reserve, you should keep the following in mind:
- Only set fire to designated fire and barbecue areas.
- Always keep your dog on a leash east of Dalby-Sandbyvägen. Within the Skrylle nature reserve west of the road, dogs are allowed to be loose but under supervision and good control. Respect other visitors and make sure that the dog does not scare or drive game. This applies especially during the period 1 March - 20 August. In most surrounding nature reserves, dogs must always be kept on a leash. Read more about dogs in Skrylle.
- Only cycle on marked cycle paths and marked mountain bike trails. Off-road cycling and nature trails are not permitted. See overview map.
- It is permitted to camp for one night within Skrylle Nature Reserve, but not in the neighboring reserves. We recommend that you camp at Skryllegården's wind shelter, where there are barbecue areas. Read more about camping and overnight stays.
- To organize competitions or other events, you must first have received permission from the nature conservation manager. Read more about arrangements.
- Only ride on marked bridle paths. Horseback riding is also permitted on certain marked forest paths. Read more about horseback riding.
- It is permitted to pick plants, berries and mushrooms that are not protected. Please remember that this must be done with respect for nature.
- Do not damage nature. You may not ”dig, drill, chisel, paint or otherwise damage blocks, living or dead trees, bushes and stumps”.
- Respect other visitors by not disturbing or making unnecessary noise.
Note! Please note that the different nature reserves in the area have slightly different regulations. There are signs that inform you about what applies when you visit the nature reserves. You can also read about the regulations on the County Administrative Board's website. Nature reserve – Skåne County Administrative Board.
